Week 9: Analysing Pictures from the Great Depression

Image
This is a picture of a General Store located in Moundville, Alabama. I can see that this store is filled with goods that will fulfill people's needs like soap, bowls, sacks saying "snowballs" and many other goods. There's also a calendar hung behind on the wall showing that it was July, 1936. So in the month of July, 1936 the weather in America increased tremendously! It soared to 113 Fahrenheit which is 45 Celsius. I would think the snowballs help people relieve from the heat and soaps to sell to the people who wants to bath in this hot season also to relieve heat.

Week 6: Exploring The Relationship The Need To Belong

Q4: How might peer pressure impact our ability and willingness to follow our consciences? We would want to get accepted by a specific group we want to belong which will make us change who we really are. We would keep on thinking what others would think of us and we will be ashamed if we don't change. If this continues, it will lead us to have depression and then committing suicide as we feel we don,t anywhere in this world.  Group Members: Kisyon Jodie Isaac Zhi Xin Jun Zhe

Week 1: The Individual In The Society (Part 1)

Lesson Reflection: Respond to what you have learned from the lesson, an interesting part of the lesson that you want to talk about to someone else etc. My lesson reflection on The Individual In The Society is about identity. Identity is something that makes you an individual, like your characteristics. For example, your appearance, skills, personality etc. There was also a part when we were given a poem about Jonathan Rodriguez and his identity. His name could also represent his identity which shows that he is both English and Spanish.
